Four selections today with 3 winning bets and 1 losing and a profit made on the day! Not bad for a tricky little day. Full subscribers must have been on the edge of their seats as the last lay ran second at the last at Southwell. Years ago I would have lumped on the favourite in the last for no other reason that all favourites had lost leading up to the race. This type of thinking is often described as the gamblers fallacy, best described as a coin toss. If heads are thrown twice the odds for a heads being thrown a third time remains 50/50 as the coin cannot and has no memory about the last toss. Tonight I didn’t think the favourite was good enough to win the fact that no favourites had won shouldn’t make a difference to the lay; and it didn’t.

April 26th, 2009Wow, what a great race the 3:20 was yesterday made even better by the fact that the Free lay and Favourite Pulled up way before the end.
to look at this great race again visit RacingUk as they have a free replay option if you register.
The small number of full subscribers had a good day with 7 out of 8 winning bets and 6 points of profit in their pocket. At the end of the day it all boils down to how much money you have left in your pocket at the end of the day or a week.
Saturday lays
April 25th, 20096 Race meetings and only 8 lays today.
two at Sandown and Haydock and one each at Market Raisen, Leicster, Ripon and Wolverhamton.
Remember you don’t have to play all the lays. I usually set myself a weekly target and then stop! but then i suppose it all depends if you bet for fun or feed the kids.
good luck everyone

Everybody logging in this morning will notice the huge change on this site. Gone has Wordpress 2.6.1. to be replaced with 2.7.1. also gone are the problems I had with Internet Explorer not showing everything on the page. At 4:00 this morning I just had enough and decided to set everything up again. Well it seems that it’s worked and now everybody can see everything.
These changes had to be made as the increase in interest recently was decreasing the amount of time I had doing what I really like doing.
